I ended things last night because of his selfishness

Author

I ended things last night because of his selfishness, and the pain is hitting me hard. I was hoping he’d at least text today to take some responsibility for his actions (wishful thinking, I know). No message came. Now, I just feel like a fool for spending months on someone who clearly didn’t care about my feelings.

Are you aware of that? Is it possible that he’s grieving?

This isn't the first time he’s shown his selfish side, and honestly, I’ve overlooked it before. So no, I don’t believe he’s actually grieving.

@MapleRo Okay, but how do you know that? And what made that day significant?

@Posionous01 I’m not sure what to think, but it seems like he often dismisses my feelings. I opened up about needing comfort on a tough day, and he just replied with 'kk' before going out with friends, even telling me I shouldn’t be emotional at all. It felt like a slap in the face, especially since I’ve invested so much time supporting him. Yet when I seek comfort or just someone to listen, he seems indifferent. But maybe it’s my fault—who really knows?

Posionous01

@MapleRo Nah I didn't mean it like that. Hope you feel better

@Posionous01 I appreciate it; I didn't mean to seem defensive.

Posionous01

@MapleRo Nope. Text lacks depth of emotion.

just remember its time to move on from that and be yourself and focus on yourself. I'm where you are right now. it feels weird having yourself as your main priority, I'm still getting used to it

Word of advice: don’t end things as a maneuver to get someone to “see the light” and crawl back begging. Often times the end is the end for people, and they respect that and move on with their life.
