This is the first time I’ve truly felt this level of emptiness

Author

This is the first time I’ve truly felt this level of emptiness, frustration, and loneliness. In the past, when friends went through breakups, I'd always say, “Just don’t think about it,” since that worked during my first relationship. But this time, it’s so different. I keep dreaming about her, which makes it even harder—no matter what I do, whether it’s watching something or playing a game, nothing fills that void of loneliness.
I hate this feeling. It’s like I’m stranded on a highway, like an abandoned dog surrounded by cars, and each of those cars is a new emotion I’ve never felt. She asked for a week to cool down, but I suggested just one day; still, after a whole week, I haven’t heard from her. I can’t stand it.
Any advice? Maybe I’m just not built for this kind of pain...

Celebrate small victories, no matter how insignificant they may seem. This can help boost your mood and motivation.

It might be best to limit contact with her for now. This can help you heal and move on.

Accept your feelings, but don't let them control you. It's okay to feel sad, but don't dwell on it.

Prioritize self-care. Eat healthy, get enough sleep, and practice mindfulness techniques like meditation or yoga.

Try to keep yourself busy. Exercise, hobbies, and spending time with friends can help distract you. It's okay to feel sad, but don't let it consume you.

It's a horrible feeling. It takes time, but eventually, you'll heal. Focus on yourself, do things you love, and surround yourself with positive people.

it's okay to feel these emotions. Time may be the best healer, but be patient with yourself.
