Do you believe in karma?

Do you believe in karma? How can someone be so cold toward another after consistently being there for them and showing care? How can someone disappear after expressing that they care and have feelings for them? People can be incredibly heartless and indifferent.

I do hope Karma is real…

Yes, I believe in karma because I’ve seen it play out in my own life. For example, my English teacher, who used to bully me pretty harshly, later became very ill and sadly passed away. An old 'best friend' who often ignored and neglected me ended up losing all her other friends. My ex broke up with me and a month later, he hit with the accident. Moments like these make me believe that karma is real—and it’s powerful.

I don't believe in karma because people like serial killers and rapists still exist. I don’t think everyone gets back what they put out into the world instead, I believe that our actions create ripples that impact others lives.

I believe in karma, though only to a certain extent, as I agree with what the first commenter mentioned. Overall, people who engage in negative actions or harbor negative intentions will see that negativity reflected in their own lives. Karma is a fascinating concept, and I think it aligns with this idea.
I went through a mentally abusive relationship that I struggled to escape for a long time. This person would bully me, both in person and online, until finally, after she cheated and ghosted me, I was able to break free. Her next relationship turned out to be rocky, and she experienced similar pain in return.
It’s hard to imagine that someone could live a peaceful, fulfilling life after causing so much hurt. While we can’t expect their lives to be all bad, I do believe in a kind of moral justice that will come around eventually.
Wishing you all the best, and to add—I completely relate to how you’re feeling. My situation is with a different relationship, but I’m experiencing the same emotions. We’ll get through this together.

Not exactly. But I believe there’s a certain kind of moral justice in nature. For instance, people who act in harmful ways often lead miserable inner lives and miss out on the joy of generosity, compassion, acceptance, and more.Sometimes, their negative traits—such as selfishness or callousness—end up harming the things they care about, like their career or social status. However, this isn’t guaranteed; it doesn’t always work out this way.
