you’re holding on to both sides, the missing and the reason you ended it. that’s usually what happens. it’s not clean. time doesn’t erase the doubt, it just makes it less sharp.
He said the same thing to me… hurt so much reading this…
i get it. i remember letting go of someone i loved because i couldn’t carry it anymore. i doubted myself for months. now when i look back, i see i was just choosing a little bit of calm over constant ache.
i used to tell myself i was doing the right thing too but it still felt like ripping skin off. peace of mind didn’t show up right away, it just left me pacing at night wondering if i threw away something i’d never get back.
