im sharing something that has helped me a lot and actually told me a friend of mine. i broke up +2 months ago and been in no contact ever since, and everytime i had the urge to check his socials, unblock him, or look for clues or contact of any kind, she would ask me: think about you from 2 months ago, would she be happy with you giving him such a powerful hold on you? and think about the you from the future, would she be proud of you breaking no contact, searching for him? the time will pass anyway, think if you want to be closer to the 2nd you, rather than the 1st. the 1st has already sufferen enough. and idk, that has actually stopped me dozens of times to seek contact, maybe it'll help someone else!

yeah! this and ask myself why i really want with breaking no contact. it usually never is about the other person, but my own needs that he can't fullfil, even if we talk. even if i check his socials.
this is really powerful. whenever i felt the urge to reach out, i’d remind myself of how far i’ve come and it genuinely helped me stay strong
