it feels weird not having a Thanksgiving without my ex gf to say anything happy about and honestly l can't get over the face it's really over and I'm not use to it at all or on Halloween either so why does it feel so odd to feel like this so much is this normal or is it fine to feel this way or is it just me

holidays hit different after someone leaves. it’s okay to just get through them one at a time.

my first holiday season after my breakup was brutal. everything felt empty and out of place. it’s like the dates on the calendar kept reminding me of what i lost. you’re not alone in that at all

I'm in the same situation, it sucks
it sucks
yeah it sucks not being able to share special holidays with them. but we have to make new habits. maybe next year we will be in a better place, looking at the past as a lesson.
