what are you hoping the hug or letter will do for you? like… are you wanting closure or hoping it sparks something again?
say hi, be kind, don’t force a “moment.” every time i tried to script a goodbye it backfired on my feelings.
i went through this with my ex where the goodbye felt weird because it wasn’t messy. i remember overthinking the hug, the note, everything. it’s so hard when the door isn’t fully shut
