We had strong chemistry from the start and spent three months building that connection before finally going on a date. Nothing intimate happened but the bond felt real.
A couple of days before the date I started sensing something was off. In person she was always flirty but over text she came across as distant and cold. During the date we had some great conversations but when I asked about her relationship status she admitted she had a boyfriend.
Naturally I backed off after that and stopped engaging with her. But two weeks later she started dropping hints that she’s single now and even suggesting that she loves me.

Yeah. It's called monkey branching. She's lining you up as a replacement. She's testing your strength and what you'll put up with. If you want her, don't pursue her. Let her come to you.
She has something else going on and doesn’t want to lose you as she decides who to go with. IMO, she belongs to the streets because she should ONLY want you by now. If you’re competing with someone else now, it’s likely you will again in the future.
