Some people don’t say goodbye… they just disappear.
No explanation. No closure. Just silence where words were promised.
And the hardest part isn’t losing them — it’s fighting the thousand unsaid questions they leave behind.
You replay memories, search for signs, wonder what changed, what you did, what you missed.
Ghosting hurts because it denies you an ending.
It leaves your heart standing at a door that will never open again.
But healing begins the day you realize:
closure isn’t something they give… it’s something you gift yourself.
And slowly, gently, you learn to let silence answer what they never could. 🌙

i got ghosted after a year together. one day we were planning a trip, next day… nothing. i replayed EVERY convo like i was studying for a test i already failed. the silence was louder than any fight ever was
That sounds really painful. Being left without answers can mess with your mind so much. I hope you’re healing gently now ❤
i hate that “closure is something you gift yourself” line but it’s kinda true. when someone disappears, i’ve learned their silence says more about them than anything i did. still hurts like hell though.
True… it hurts a lot. Silence can be louder than words sometimes. I’m still learning how to accept it too.
frrr
do you feel like there were signs before they disappeared, or was it completely out of nowhere?
At first it felt out of nowhere, but when I look back, I realize there were small signs I didn’t want to see. I guess the heart believes what it hopes, not what it notices.
