when he calls to talk to the baby, does he keep it just about the baby, or does it slowly turn into updates about his life too?
honestly, if hearing his voice messes with your peace, i’d set a clear boundary and keep it strictly about the baby, maybe even through text only.
my ex used our dog as the excuse to keep calling, and every time his name lit up my phone my chest dropped. it still felt like contact, even if it wasn’t about me.
it is contacting - if he chose to call YOU, it's pretty obvious that him wanting to see the baby won't be the only thing happening. did you guys talk?
