A few days ago, my boyfriend ended things with me because he’s really struggling with his mental health and needs some space to breathe, as he said. Right now, I have so many thoughts and emotions swirling around in my head. I love him more than anything, and he’s told me he feels the same way. When he broke up with me, he expressed how amazing he thinks I am and how much he loves me, saying that it hurts him too. He mentioned that he just wants to see how things go when he’s feeling better.

I want to wait for him because he’s worth every moment, and I would wait a lifetime just to show him how much I love him. We’re still talking every day, and he still gives me those “love looks,” but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. I know I’m willing to wait, and even though it’s painful, I want to hold on to the love I have for him (which doesn’t seem to be fading anytime soon). However, I also recognize that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best choice. I have so many thoughts and feelings right now, and I feel the need to express them, but I wonder if this is the right place or if I’m making this post too lengthy. Any responses would be appreciated!

I can relate to the rollercoaster of emotions. It's tough to balance love and respect for his needs. Remember, your feelings are valid, and it's okay to express them.

I've been through something similar, and it's heartbreaking. It's okay to feel lost and confused. Just remember that you're not alone.

It's a difficult situation, but your willingness to wait for him shows how much you care. Just remember to take care of yourself too. Your mental health is important.

It's natural to want to hold on, especially when you love someone deeply. Give yourself time to heal and process your emotions. The love you have for him won't fade, and he'll appreciate your patience.

He's taking a step back for his mental health, which is a brave and important decision. Your love and support can be a huge help, but remember to respect his need for space.
