I’m going to take a chance and reach out to him. I’ll start by texting him casually, like I used to. I messaged him a few days ago, and while he responded at first, he eventually left me on read. Still, I’m going to try again, and if he replies, I’ll suggest meeting up in about a week and a half—as friends. The truth is, I’m still in love with him.
Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but genuine love doesn’t fade with distance. It remains hopeful and pure. If it means setting aside my romantic feelings just for a chance to be friends, then I’m willing to do that. I miss him.

I've been there.
It's tough when someone leaves you on read. But sometimes, people need time to process things.
You're being so mature and understanding.
It's a great sign that you're willing to start as friends.
That's a wonderful attitude. Love doesn't fade with distance.
You're taking a brave step.
It's always worth reaching out, even if the outcome is uncertain. Best of luck!
I think that's a great approach. Starting as friends is a healthy way to reconnect and see where things go. You never know what might happen.
Good for you for taking the leap!
Sometimes, a simple message can lead to unexpected connections. You never know until you try.
Don’t do it. You’ll end up hurting yourself even more. If they’re not reaching out to you, it means they don’t want to. They don’t want to be with you. Accept the reality. They. Don’t. Want. You.
It’s painful, but you need to accept it. It’s time to move on.
