A few months ago, I developed a crush on this girl. Even though I’m usually an outgoing person, I get pretty shy when it comes to asking someone out. But I decided to go for it anyway. She agreed, but only until the end of the school year, which was just a week away. She didn’t want to extend things because she’d be busy with college applications, and I’d be heading to college, even though I was staying at home and it was only 7 miles away. I thought maybe I could change her mind, but I guess that was my mistake. I put in a lot of effort because I saw her as the perfect girl—so easy to talk to, absolutely adorable, and amazing in every way.
At first, I was okay when she said she couldn’t continue seeing me. But then, I recently found out she went on a date, and it felt like my heart stopped. I’m already an insecure person, so seeing that after she said she couldn’t handle a relationship due to time constraints just hit me hard. It’s been a few weeks since I saw the post, but I’m still struggling. I can’t sleep, my heart aches every day, and I just wish I could be good enough for someone. I know this isn’t the healthiest mindset, but it’s tough because I thrive on love. All I really want is someone to love and cherish who feels the same way about me. Sorry for the long rant; I’ve just been under too much stress, and it all finally came to a head.
