Me and my ex were together for like 2 years. I started noticing him acting off but we have a 1-year-old together. I also have two kids from a previous relationship and he has two as well. Our relationship wasn’t perfect, but I loved him and tried everything to make it work. Meanwhile he was just being mean and weird for no reason.
He got locked up for his 5th DWI and I was there for him answering every call. I even took him to US in May and got him a Blackstone. Fast forward to my birthday on Thursday he tells me he’s broke and can’t take me to dinner. Then Friday he says Hey I’m going on a trip to somewhere with my friends. I’m like on my bday weekend? I thought you were broke? He says “They’re covering for me.
Something wasn’t adding up so I checked the page of this woman I suspected he was messing with (she left her red hair all over my brush one night and he tried to play it off like it was family visiting). And there he is on her page sitting down having a drink. Turns out he’s taking her to somewhere for her birthday which is this Wednesday—while it’s my bday weekend.
I’m shattered. How can someone lie and be this cruel? Why couldn’t he just be honest? I feel so empty and just want to move on. ?

You deserve so much better. Keep good vibes around—people who actually wanna be there not the ones who make you overthink why they lied or acted shady. He lied and was cruel cuz he's selfish and doesn’t care. Focus on you heal and take it one step at a time.
