Our landlord hiked up the rent outta nowhere so we gotta move for money reasons.
But now she’s saying she’s at a point in her life with a new job and all, where she needs to live alone. I get it and would never stop her from doing her thing. She kinda hinted at it last year so I figured it was coming eventually.
Still she’s been like the big sister I never had. She helped me when I was at my lowest got me back on track, and reminded me of the stuff I love. Seeing her at the end of the day is one of my favorite things.
I knew this day would come but it feels like I’m losing the closest thing I have to a family. It’s been a week since she told me and I’ve been so anxious I’ve even thrown up a couple of times.
How do I keep it together and remind myself she’ll still be there for me?
dr my older housemate is moving out and I’m lowkey spiraling.

It's okay to feel sad. Losing a close friend and living situation is a big change.

talk to her it’s only right to share how you’re feeling let her know how much she means to you and how much you look up to her how much her presence and energy matters to you then tell her how sad and anxious it makes you feel how you’re worried about the change and what it’ll mean for your friendship but do it without putting that pressure on her don’t make her feel guilty just express how you’re feeling
i’m pretty sure it’ll help you feel a lot better and i bet she’d be happy to reassure you that your friendship won’t change
don’t let the anxiety take over it’ll be okay
