me (26F) and my bf (36M) went on a cabin trip with two other couples.. this one girl straight up asked if we were in an open relationship (we said no) and then later just stripped down to her underwear while vibing with my bf.. he ignored me talked over me and was fully locked in on her even when she joked that they’d be a better match.. i felt so weird about it and left the next morning.. he brushed off my feelings and from that point i lowkey started resenting him.. over the years this kinda thing kept happening.. now that we’re broken up i can’t stop thinking about it and just wish i left way sooner
was i trippin or was my reaction valid? is it normal to still be this stuck on it after the breakup?

no one deserves to feel like they’re not valued fr. that ex wasn’t your person and whatever reason you had for choosing him put you in a situation where your self-worth got tested. sometimes we pick people who reflect our deepest wounds thinking we can fix things. we convince ourselves we love them even when deep down we know we don’t. we stay in situations we know aren’t right just bc we’re scared to let go. but you knew he wasn’t it. you put him above yourself and now you see you can’t fix him. it was never about him knowing your worth it’s about you knowing it. i know that sounds harsh but look deeper, it’s a lesson. you’re back on track now time to focus on loving you. never abandon yourself, you come first always. don’t let anyone make you feel less than. you deserve someone who truly cherishes you.

Sometimes ppl who don’t respect us make us feel like we ain’t worth much. Just know you’ll find someone who won’t make you feel like that and you won’t even care to see the world through this last guy’s eyes.
