my ex was a high school friend who had a crush on me. We reconnected at the end of 2023 and I decided to date him in 2024. As soon as we started dating he started getting attention from his coworkers and ended up emotionally cheating on me with one of them. Eventually he admitted he developed feelings for her and that she was like his best friend he felt closer to her than me.
She ghosted him once she realized we broke up and I ended up going back to him. It’s been monts since and they still work together just not on the same days. She’s messaged him a few times for work stuff and he replies instantly and keeps the convo going way more than necessary. I feel like 2024 was a total waste.
He doesn’t really fight for me and deep down I’ll always question his feelings for me especially with how strong his feelings were for her. Part of me thinks we could’ve worked if they weren’t coworkers but at the end of the day he betrayed me and lied to me.
Like they say if you really loved the first one you wouldn’t have fallen for the second.
I don’t know just needed to vent.

this is just straight up bs on his part. if a guy really loves you he wouldn’t even look at another girl like that. you gotta ask yourself and him what he really wants. if you’re making him happy, showing him respect giving him peace and he still does this to you… hate to say it but he’s not in love. he’s just doing it cuz he can’t be with her. but before anything, you need to make things clear. ask yourself and him if there’s real love and respect on both sides. you should be his peace and he should be your rock. if you keep feeling like he might cheat, you’ll never have peace. you’ll always be stressing and checking up on him and trust me, that will ruin you way more than anything else could.
