Does anyone have any suggestions with coping with a breakup, it's been three weeks and I've admitted to myself today I'm using alcohol at the weekends so numb everything and feel good. I can't deal with the aftermath, I feel 10 times as bad so I've decided to quit it completely for at least a month. I just want to feel happy again. The last time I felt really happy was at the begining of the relationship when I was full of hope for the future and he hadn't hurt me yet.

Hey it might sound a little different but may be make a list of 20 things you want to try and try them out one by one, sometimes we find hope by trying new things, finding new spaces and new dimensions for ourselves in places and areas we could have never imagined. Take care, Feel better

This is just a season of pain not a permanent state. Every step forward no matter how small is proof that healing is happening.
you need a NEW HOPE... what can be your new hope??? what are your thoughts on your next new hope?
Choosing yourself over numbing the hurt is the first step toward real happiness. It’s coming even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.
Quitting something that makes you feel worse in the long run is self care in its purest form. Keep going.
The last time you felt truly happy wasn’t just because of the relationship it was because of the hope you had. That hope still exists for your future.
Healing isn't about forgetting it's about learning to exist without needing to escape. You're on the right path.

Breaking the cycle of numbing and facing the emotions head on takes courage. You're stronger than you realize.
Choosing to quit numbing the pain is already a huge step you're taking control of your healing and that's powerful.
