It's a different kind of pain when you have to leave the one that you know you can't unlove. Not because you're still hoping to get back with them, but because you respect the person despite the ending, and both of you made good memories that will last a lifetime.

This is such a beautiful way to look at it. Cherish the good times but keep moving forward
Letting go with love and respect is one of the hardest things to do. You’re so strong for doing this.
You said it perfectly. Sometimes love doesn’t fade but you still have to let go.
I feel this on another level. Respecting the memories while moving forward is so bittersweet
This really hits deep. It’s so hard to let go of someone you’ll always care about.
oh my that's Me alll day... cause I love her but we're so much better apart. n im.rooting for her everyday. but it's not meant to be no relationship. there hits so different
it’s that kind of pain where you still love them and you know you’ll probably always have a soft spot for them but you also know staying isn’t working anymore and it’s not because something huge happened, it’s not dramatic, it’s just that something’s off and you’ve both felt it for a while and you’ve been trying to ignore it but now it’s too loud to pretend and you’re tired, not of them, but of how hard it’s become to keep something that used to feel easy, so you walk away and it hurts more because you’re not even angry, you just wish things were different but they’re not and you’re done trying to fix what isn’t fixable
