Day 56… What songs we been using to cry to?

the way you mention capaldi, reminds me of when i used sam smith as my breakup soundtrack. whole months tied to one album. now i can tell what day i was on by which track i had on repeat.

i played james arthur a lot. some songs felt like someone was sitting in the room with me. it let me cry without feeling weird about it.

had lewis capaldi on repeat till i hated the songs. every lyric just made me pissed at how real it felt. now when i hear his voice i skip it. too much.

I love music too much to listen to it when I'm depressed. Certain songs will always remind me of the awful times and bring up bad memories. I can't ruin the music. We broke up on May 5th and I haven't listened to music since. I listen to talk radio instead. Music brings me joy. I love music and I want my joy back.
