when she came to collect something, we spoke for a little while. She said it was okay to message. I made a mistake and dumped everything on my mind. I will never do it again. Being in no contact will be difficult considering we have so many mutuals. But I will never message her again.

you already decided what you need. you told her everything now you’re shutting the door. the mutuals part will test you but you seem clear about not messaging again.
i remember that urge, like if i don’t say it all now i’ll regret it. i slipped once, then told myself that was the last time. it felt impossible but it did get a little easier not reaching out.
i did that too, unloaded everything in one go like i was gonna convince her to come back. felt pathetic after. mutuals made it worse cause i’d hear about her without wanting to.
She gave me a much better explanation for why she broke up which I can understand and I am now ready to move on
