just came home from work and god what a day. me and my ex are both chefs in municipal sector that’s how we meet. and my other coworkers know me my ex were a couple. so getting question about my ex. and now getting random questions about what she thinks about daily life stuff hand having to tell them I don’t know we are not together anymore. it’s been 3 days now since we broke up. waiting for the rumours to spread around. 😔

what stands out is how you’re already bracing for the gossip. that part hurts because you can’t control it, you just know it’s coming. i saw that happen at my job too, the silence after the questions was worse than the questions
people at my work gossip about anything. even stuff that is not true.
3 days is still raw. people mean well but it just feels like picking at a wound. i remember those first shifts back, just nodding through it until she moved on. it won’t always sting this much.
everyone asking like you’re some spokesperson for the person who left. i remember snapping once, like idk ask her yourself. after that they stopped.
