you’re counting it like a game, but you didn’t actually make the move. i used to reset anyway just to feel honest about it. it was more about what felt right to me than the rule itself.
when my ex reached out first i kept thinking all my effort was gone. but i reminded myself i still didn’t break, he did. that gave me some peace even if i still cried.
i remember when mine texted after a week. i was so pissed. like i finally had a streak going and he ruined it in one second. felt like starting from zero made me his puppet again.
