you were holding onto the idea he’d fix it but the silence is showing something else. i did the same math in my head day by day and it just dragged me further.

that emptiness when the days stacked up. i thought every morning he’d call and he didn’t. it hurt so much. i get why you’re losing hope.
i waited like that too counting days, thinking he’d finally realize what he did. he never did. it pissed me off how he could just go silent while i was falling apart.
