you’re trying to make sense of his distance by naming it. i did that too, gave it a label so it didn’t feel random.
i used to tell myself the same about my ex. it made the pain easier for a while. i get why you say it.
i asked him if he wants me or not. if not he should just say it so i can move on. He said he likes me a log but beyond that he cant really assess his feelings. His friends said also that he is very avoidant and scared i don’t know:/
mine used that excuse too. “i want you but i’m scared.” it was bullshit. if he wanted me he’d show up.
I wish mine would say that too 😭 I asked him a hundred times whether he wants me or not. If not, he should just say it so I can have closure and move on. He said he likes me a lot, but beyond that he can’t really assess his feelings. He never says ‘no, I don’t want you,’ he just keeps me hanging.
i’ve been in the same position as you and i can tell you this will not change. i’ve tried everything but he is how he is and he will absolutely never commit. leave him that’s the only way for you to get better i swear
