me and my ex work in the same communal kitchens. she is in one kitchen and Iam in another. but she takes care of getting temporary workers if people are sick. and the head chef in my kitchen she is temp if my ex is sick. today this morning I overheard a conversation between them that they where going to hang out and drink wine together. and in some way it hurts in my soal.

you’re noticing how small actions still cut deep. it shows you’re paying attention, maybe too much, to what she’s doing outside your kitchen.
i know that sting, it hit me in the same way when i overheard my ex laughing with someone else. it’s okay to feel that hurt, it makes sense.
i hated hearing stuff like that. felt like someone shoved a knife in my chest for no reason. i wanted to scream at them both but i just froze.
