the wins don’t register because the loss is louder right now. i saw someone get what they wanted on paper and still feel empty. it wasn’t about the job or the house at all.

moving into a place that felt perfect and still crying on the kitchen floor cause he wasn’t with me. the numb part makes sense. your heart hasn’t caught up with the good stuff yet.

yeah i felt that. i got the job i wanted, better pay, new city, and it meant nothing. i just sat in my apartment thinking none of it mattered cause he was gone.

you have to try to find that happiness within yourself start small with everyday things or a hobby that you have and most importantly allow yourself to feel and reflect. create the space to do that for yourself and everything will be alright. take the lessons from the relationship and apply them when you find someone new or to your loved ones.
