My ex-girlfriend has avoidant tendencies and we broke up two months ago mostly because of some deep unspoken fear she was dealing with.
We had an amazing few months together and things felt like they were only getting better. But when we hit our first real issue she started doubting everything and emotionally shut down. It felt like she didn’t even know what she was feeling.
We’ve been in no contact since. I tried messaging her last month to get my things back no response. We had agreed on a date but I couldn’t make it and she’s gone silent ever since.
She’s coming back to my city in October from two hours away and honestly… I just want to do whatever it takes to get her back.

what makes you feel like trying again is the best move—missing her, or hoping she’ll handle things differently this time?
i know you want her back, but sometimes giving her space and focusing on yourself first actually shows more care than chasing. it’s hard, but it can protect your heart.
I hope we all get the happiness and peace we always wanted.
i’ve been there. dated someone with avoidant tendencies too, and it HURT when they shut down and disappeared. it’s confusing because you remember the good moments so clearly ❤️
