ive wanted to for years now, but yesterday I decided to adopt a kitten. she is so sweet and makes me happy. I have this little creature to take care of and love so much. her name is nyx, she's 6 months, and a little tuxedo. she has the cutest white triangle around her nose with a black nose and white feet.
i feel so excited but also nervous. my roommates love her too. I wish I didnt but I wanted to share this with him so bad, but I cant.

such a good choice, cats and dogs are the best when healing. I got my dog just before breaking up with ex years ago. I was so upset he doesnt spend time with us anymore, so I totally get it. But from perspective I see that this is exactly what was needed, the dog is mine and I have no association between her and my ex. and she saved me from depression and helped me meet new people and start my new chapter. It will pass, give it time. Congrats on Nyx!

omg same 😭 i adopted a little furball last year when i was heartbroken. having that tiny creature to love honestly made the pain a bit softer ❤️ nyx sounds adorable
