I am on day 35 of no contact and over 2 months into our breakup. I have days where I feel great and don’t think about him, but recently I’m back to missing him and wanting him to come back. How can I detach and stop thinking about him?

when you think about him, is it the person or the habit of being with him you miss? figuring that out helped me detach more.
what’s helped me is staying busy with stuff i actually enjoy, journaling my thoughts, and reminding myself why no contact exists in the first place. it’s slow but it works.
i hit day 40 of no contact and thought i was over him, then boom, memories hit like a truck. it sucks but it’s part of the process
