What's the point?

do you think you’re missing them or more the version of them you wanted them to be? sometimes i had to ask myself that when the ache wouldn’t stop.

what’s helped me a bit is letting the missing come but not chasing it. like, i don’t fight the thought but i also don’t text them or check their stuff. slowly the waves get smaller.

my ex stopped caring too but i was still crying over his name in my phone. it’s like your heart doesn’t get the memo your brain already knows
