I guess I was lucky. When she left me 10 days ago, after an intense 5 months relationship, we talked for four hours — she explained everything to me. It was painful, but respectful.
The only thing that hurt was what she said when I left:
“I can’t imagine my life without you — not as a lover, but not just as a friend either. You’re the only person who truly gets me, and I know it’s the same for you.”
I cried, because I know she’s right. And I don't know what to do. NC is hard, but reaching out would be harder for the time being

when you say “not just as a friend either,” do you feel like there’s still hope, or is it more about missing the connection?
Hard to tell, really. The connexion was incredible (intellectually and physically) but I lied to her about my age (2 years) for the first 3 months and it broke something inside her. She left me 2 months later...
Will probably break NC in 1 month and will see...
nc is brutal at first but it really helps. even if it feels wrong, giving space is what usually lets the pain settle.
my ex broke up and said almost the same thing… it HURT so much to hear that and not reach out 😭
