I was the one who ended it because he pushed me to say it, but he agreed..he didn't stop me or say anything. He generally has this philosophy as a person (he's a Scorpio). I would describe him as avoidant. What bothers me is that he's playing the victim even though he was the one who pushed me to do it. Why do they do this, damn it?

when you say he “pushed” you to end it, was it subtle pressure or straight-up insistence? that might change how you process it.
from my experience, just stepping back and not engaging with the blame game helps. you can’t make someone own their role if they refuse.
i ended things with my ex too, but he somehow made it feel like i was the bad guy. avoidant energy is wild like that.
