Is it a good sign when you go through the experience of a pain so brutal, you feel broken in half and then you feel dead inside? Ego Death perhaps?
Is the numbness the ash of the old you? The person who was taught that love had to be earned? Is this progress?

when you say “ego death,” do you mean literally feeling detached from everything, or more like just from that relationship specifically?
just letting myself feel it, even the emptiness. journaling little thoughts and noticing them pass made it less like dying inside.
that crushing numbness felt like i lost myself completely, like the part of me that trusted love was just… gone
