i know it feels like you’ll never value anyone this much again, but that’s just the heartbreak talking. i used to think that too, then later i realized i just gave my love to the wrong person — not that i loved “too much.” you’ll still have that love in you, just someone better will be ready for it next time
mine did the same — talked to me like i was the only one, while waiting for someone else to “come around.” it’s such a brutal kind of rejection, realizing you were just a placeholder for someone he already wanted. that ache stays for a while, i know
