I was so attached to my ex. He’s been through a lot, and in his mind, leaving me was his way of helping. But it didn’t help—it broke me. I was too attached to just let go. He had his bad habits, things he didn’t want me to be a part of, but I wanted to be there anyway… because at least I still had him.

do you think he left because he didn’t wanna change, or because he thought he was saving you from his world? feels like there’s a difference there.
sometimes people think leaving is love, but it’s really just avoidance. doesn’t make the pain any less real though. what helped me a bit was reminding myself that i can love someone deeply and still accept that they weren’t ready to be loved right.
my ex pushed me away “for my own good” too, said he didn’t wanna drag me into his mess. but watching him walk away hurt way worse than anything he was trying to protect me from. that kind of love sticks.
He said that leaving me is, eventually, going to make me happy...
I don't get that. When you give your heart to someone, leaving is never gonna make it, ok It just hurts you

@xuser11614 ik do they really realize how much they hurt us . j was really down for him I was willing to be there for him at his lowest and if he lost it all I'd still be his girl but he said he left because he needed to work on himself ik that some people need space to grow but can't we grow together or summ? argh
