my now ex partner left me 3 weeks ago after a drunken argument that led me to contact the police. it was a stupid thing for me to do and now I regret it but I told them the next day that I want him to just come home and I thought he would and apologise but he didn’t. he still has things in my home that he lived in with me for the last 4 years. tells me he is so done with me and there is no going back but still has photos of me and him on his socials, hasn’t blocked me and keeps making excuses not to get his things when we have arranged to. one minute he says he will let me know about meeting up and the next he is shouting at me he hates me. will no contact be the best option to win him back? 😢 can someone help a broken women out?😭

does he usually act like this saying he’s done but keeping those small strings attached (like the photos, excuses, etc.)? that hot-cold stuff can mess with your head so bad.
no contact isn’t magic for getting them back. it’s mostly for getting you back. when i stopped reaching out, i started seeing the situation clearer. give yourself a bit of peace, even if it’s just for a few days.
my ex and i had a blow-up too i begged him to come back after he left and it destroyed me. i remember thinking no contact would “make him miss me,” but it actually helped me breathe again. i know it hurts like hell rn
