I have a problem of thinking that every guy who approaches me wants me. and so I expect that guy to behave like someone who wants me or someone who's dating me. and if they fail to meet my expectations I get so angry at them and I might end up ghosting them or blocking them or deleting their number.

do you feel like this happens more when you already like the guy, or even with guys you’re not super into yet?

slowing myself down a bit. like… “he’s just talking to me, not dating me.” it saves me from building a whole story in my head.

my mechanism to avoid such thoughts is ignoring them... or ghosting them..
do you think this will work?

i used to think every guy showing a bit of interest meant he was choosing me for real. i’d start acting like we were a thing in my head, then get mad when he didn’t show up that way. it came from this place where i just wanted someone to WANT me with their whole chest. you’re not alone in this at all

this is exactly what my problem is. and then when they fail to act up, you start thinking that no one wants you.. does it mean that we are desperate to be in love? did you manage to come out of it?
