it just hit me he’s gone , i was in the middle of maths and it slightly hit me but now as i was coming home it hit me hard . i feel sick . i was speaking to one of my mentors at school today and she said ‘you’ll find someone else’ but the thought of him or me being with someone else hurts me , it makes my stomach churn and my heart ache. i just want to be okay.

has this been happening a lot lately, like the grief sneaking up on you in random moments?

i usually just let it wash over me instead of fighting it. it passes quicker when i don’t pretend i’m fine.

i remember sitting in class once and it hit me out of nowhere that my ex was really gone. i legit felt like i was gonna throw up. that stomach drop is REAL and it’s awful.

not coming home to them hits the hardest. no presence, texts, or calls stings like no other. if you didn't feel it then, you definitely felt it now. it's way too easy for other people to say, "you'll find someone else". you need time to grieve the loss of him and your relationship. if you think about anything else, don't think about finding someone else. grief, what you're going through, is love with no place to go. the only place you can put that is in yourself. journaling every morning really helped me, you might find something that will help you better, but getting your thoughts out in any way will help for sure—this app helps a lot with that and having the community along with it. best of luck to you. it might not feel easy now, but it gets easier with time unfortunately. stay strong and take care of yourself!
