booby talks about perspective

Author

Nobody I know or see online and/or in person has ever really talked about the side of heartbreak and breakups that changes you you other than emotionally and spiritually. it's been 43 days for me now and I have progressed in my journey and purpose not because I didn't care but because I really really loved her and decided if it's best to let go right now that's what must happen if its meant to be nothing will stop it and if its not nothing will force it. however, no one says the fact that you may sleep less eat erratically do things you wouldn't normally do. For example ever since the breakup I haven't really been able to sleep earlier than 3,4 sometimes past 7 am, I do try to get atleast 7 hours sometimes 10 but the best steps to overcome these is firstly notice and acknowledge this is happening and it is something I have to fix.

when you’re up at 3 or 4, what do you usually end up doing in those hours? like are you scrolling, thinking, distracting yourself… what does that time actually look like for you?

not the whole life. just one thing. sometimes it was drinking water before bed or turning my phone face down at 2 am. tiny stuff calmed the chaos in my head.

my whole body went weird for months. i stopped eating normal, slept at sunrise, did stuff that didn’t even feel like “me.” i thought i was losing my mind but it was just grief doing whatever it wanted. you’re right, nobody talks about how much a breakup messes with your actual rhythms. it’s real and it’s rough

I agree. my breakup also really pushed me to work on myself and rebuild my relationship with spirituality. it's a testament to the love you have for your ex that you looked within yourself and grew from it rather than lie down and die. be proud of yourself for how far you've come and the effort you put in for yourself
