My ex is from texting me on WhatsApp updating me on a certain online job for me to apply... He knows that I'm currently jobless and looking for a job... and guess what I have done? I have seen the message and deleted it without even interest of knowing more about the job...
I feel so good and proud of myself for getting the courage to unapologetically ignore my ex
do you think I am stupid for ignoring a job opportunity because it is coming from my ex?

honestly, you’re not stupid. you’re just protecting yourself. if i’m not in the headspace to let an ex back into my world, i let the message go. i can always look for jobs somewhere else.

i did the same thing when my ex reached out about some “opportunity” he thought i’d like. mine used to breadcrumb me with “help” so i get why ignoring felt powerful. sometimes the win is choosing YOUR peace even if it looks “irrational” to other people
I just want nothing to do with him even if it is help... May God never make me want help from people who pinned me down... May our paths with him never cross again...
