for me, the pain softened when i started letting myself grieve in small pieces instead of pretending i was fine. journaling or just talking to someone helped me carry it instead of fight it.
i lost someone i thought i’d spend forever with, and at first it felt like every day was sharper than the last. even months later, the dreams we had haunt me sometimes. it doesn’t really “go away,” it just changes shape

i think over time yes, because then you're no longer attached to them which makes it easier to see everything in the past.
we hope
when you say “dreams,” do you mean plans with them, or the life you imagined for yourself with them?
both

Yes. It takes time though, but it will be better, and you will find someone who you will love even more. I promise it will be okay

as long as it is not loosing them thru death, the dreams will go away and the love will fade
