feeling guilty

Author

I my ex broke up with me. since then I have avoided her, I'm looking forward to my life and I'm moving on. but the thing is that, I feel guilty for moving on, and leaving her like this. I'm already started to look for potential partners, I have started talking with other girls too. But I'm feeling some guilt that what I'm doing is wrong.

have you thought about why you feel guilty is it concern for her, or just the habit of thinking about her so much? sometimes that helps untangle feelings.

i feel bad that I would leave her and what if she couldn't find someone soon. she might be waiting for me. I know thinking this is absurd, absolutely she does have a lot of people around her. it's just that I feel leaving her when we had so much planned together. After a fight she always used to ask me to never leave her on any circumstances, but this time everything is so much broken that I don't wanna continue.

moving on doesn’t mean you’re cruel, it means you’re healing. give yourself permission to feel guilt but don’t let it stop your growth. focus on what makes YOU happy.

after my breakup i started talking to new people too and felt sooo guilty, like i was betraying my ex… it’s normal, it doesn’t make you a bad person.
