We saw eachother 3 weeks ago where he had asked to meet me after we had broken up to finally end things. We saw each other talked and then he hugged me and even kissed me saying that he loved me. since that day we’ve been keeping no contact, I don’t view his Instagram stories whilst he on the other hand views all of mine and even liked one. A few hours ago he sent me a tik tok which was talking about fear of heights which was something we used to joke about together a lot because he had it. I replied saying “you still haven’t gotten over this fear I see hahaha”, now it’s been an hour and he still hasn’t replied back. I’m very scared he won’t reply.

has he been like this before… kinda hot one moment then distant the next? it sounds like you’ve been carrying a lot of the emotional weight with him.
yes he’s always been like this, and since we broke up a nearly 2 months ago all he’s been doing is disappearing then coming back… once he literally texted me saying he missed me and wanted to talk and not even 24h later changing his mind completely saying he has nothing to say to me…
i get why you’re scared, but don’t torture yourself watching the clock. whenever i’d reply fast and they’d vanish, i’d remind myself their delay isn’t a reflection of my worth. breathe a little. don’t reopen that wound for him.
He replied saying "actually I didn't send the message on purpose😅, and btw no I still get scared of heights but I always face my fears"..... I replied going "you could have told me if you didn't send it on purpose right away hahaha very happy to hear you gave your fears though I hope for you that it's true.” And obviously he’s opened it viewed it and not replied……. he keeps coming back with these random gestures which keep breaking no contact and make me keep hurting.
my ex did the SAME thing… kiss me, say he loved me, then disappear the second i responded. that push-pull stuff messes with your head so bad. i’m sorry you’re sitting in that silence right now
I swear that the thing that messed with my head most is that it didn’t feel like a “goodbye” it felt like a “see you later” he never actually fully closed the door but kept it slightly open. It honestly was a goodbye between two people that still loved eachother so much….

i doubt he’ll reply now… he probably just wanted to break no contact to see if I was still there to answer and be there for him…
