quick update me and my guy were together for five years. We broke up on Halloween. This is day 51 no contact. We both loved each other a lot but we decided it’s best split up. took my child to the movies on Tuesday and guess who sits behind me- him, his kids, his new girl her son. not gonna lie my adrenaline was pumping the whole entire time. I kept thinking, man he really replaced me in my child but I wasn’t sad. Fast-forward to today he actually reaches out. He text me saying he miss me and it crushed him for me to see him the way I did. I didn’t respond. I figured why if this was 51 days ago I definitely would’ve but I guess I’m saying time does gets better. and I’m probably not going to respond because I honestly don’t even know what to say.

51 days of no contact is huge progress. stay in your lane, focus on yourself and your child, and don’t feel pressured to respond
after my breakup i ran into him with someone new too. it stings seeing them move on, but it does get easier with time
