Well, that soulmate just walked out my life.
Our situation was complicated but I know I wanted to really try with him. He usually told me he wanted to really try with me too. Turns out those were just words.

when you think back, were there moments where his actions didn’t fully line up with what he kept saying, even before he walked away
I'm not sure about that. I don't think I'm looking back at it objectively because I think I've idealized everything a bit. So I do not know.
i had that instant click too, that “oh it’s YOU” feeling. he said he wanted to try, over and over, then disappeared when it got real. realizing the words didn’t match the actions BROKE me
