A few weeks ago me and this guy broke up. He removed me from social media but every now and then he still reaches out to me on iMessage. It’s been really hard because whenever he texts I get upset ignoring him feels impossible. I still love him so much and his messages make me happy even though I know I shouldn’t feel that way.
He told me we shouldn’t be in a relationship right now so I let him go. But then he’ll say things like I’m a lost piece in your puzzle and days later text me that he misses me. It’s so confusing and I’ve started to feel angry at myself for falling for it over and over.

my ex cut me off everywhere but still slid into my texts with little “i miss you” crumbs. it made me feel chosen for a second, then wrecked all over again. that hot and cold mess messed with my head

If he's texting you and flirting but its not leading to sex, thats probably why hes ghosting and hitting you days later to try again. He isn't looking to have a relationship with you or anyone. He is playing the field to see who'll put out. So honestly hon id move on from that red flag bomb
It's going to hurt for a while, but as time passes it gets better. And at least we have this community for support.
