was there a specific relationship where you felt the change the most after working on your communication? like romantic, family, work? sometimes the growth shows up in one place first
I was single when I read this book. I also don't currently work because I am on disability. The first place I noticed the change was with my family. I took notes from the book and went over them daily until they started to stick. The second place I noticed a change was in my friendships. The third place I noticed a change was with toxic or difficult people. The forth place I noticed a change when I started to date again.

i actually read something similar after my breakup because i realized i didn’t even know how to communicate without either shutting down or over explaining validation changed a lot for me too. i used to think love was about fixing everything, but sometimes it’s just about saying “yeah, that makes sense.
