I had a mental health assessment this morning, as being discarded had taken a toll on my already fragile mental health. It helped to talk it out with a professional and I'm being referred for anxiety therapy. I consider it self-care, because I need to take care of me now.

i’m really proud of you for going. i spiraled hard after he discarded me too, like couldn’t eat couldn’t sleep type of spiral, and sitting in that first assessment felt scary but also weirdly relieving. choosing yourself like this is huge
self care is the only kind of care that actually pays off so yeah
