honestly, staying away right now is the best thing. when emotions calm down, you might not even want to ask him anymore. sometimes peace comes from not reopening old wounds.
i remember wanting to ask my ex the same thing after he broke me in ways he never even saw. i never asked though. distance gave me the answers i needed — just not the ones i wanted.

Ask yourself why it’s important to know if he feels bad or not. Does it change anything?
